As of 12:01 a.m. on Monday, November 5, 2007, the Writers Guild of America went on strike. This action will have a profound and immediate impact on the employment of Local One members at the affected locations. The locations immediately affected are The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O'Brien and Saturday Night Live.
The Television Business Managers have advised individuals who are normally employed at these locations to contact the Replacement Room to acquire alternative employment.
All Department Heads are being requested to also contact the Replacement Room to provide employment opportunities for their affected Brothers and Sisters.
