Please be advised that the contract negotiations between Local One and The League of American Theatres and Producers went well into the night on Friday, October 5th. Both sides agreed to a recess for the holiday weekend and will meet again on Tuesday, October 9th, to continue talks. An erroneous published report stated that the stagehands had "succumbed" to the demands of the producers - nothing could be further from the truth. The Local One Committee is united and committed to negotiating in good faith a contract that will be beneficial for the entire membership.
The Local One Committee also wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks for the strong support and solidarity from the Officers and Members of Local 802 of the American Federation of Musicians and Actors Equity Association.
