According to several published reports attendance is up and ticket sales to Broadway shows continue to do a brisk business. In the first six weeks of the new season audience numbers have risen almost 11% while box office grosses are up nearly 9% from the same time period as last year. Also, there are three more shows running this summer as opposed to the summer of 2006.
