According to reports from the League of American Theatres and Producers that have appeared in numerous periodicals and announced from the stage of Radio City Music Hall at the recent broadcast of The Tony Awards, paid attendance at Broadway shows was 12.3 million or a 2.6 percent increase over last year. The gross ticket sales also increased to a new record of $939 million.
