HEALING THE DANCER ANNUAL SEMINAR
Please join us for the third annual Healing the Dancer seminar on Monday, June 8th from 10 am - 1 pm at The New 42nd Street Studios, 229 42nd St. Hosted by Bebe Neuwirth, founder of The Dancers' Resource program of The Actors Fund, and featuring key-note speaker Virginia Johnson, newly appointed Artistic Director of Dance Theatre of Harlem. Guest speakers will offer insight and discussion on dancer physical and emotional wellness. Obtain information and resources for accessing health insurance and health care, financial wellness, and support from community agencies/organizations.

MANAGING CASH FLOW FOR ARTISTS
This five-week workshop covers strategies for organizing expenses, balancing multiple sources of income, and planning for dry spells. We also discuss tips for aligning your professional and financial goals. You are welcome to attend the first session with no obligation (Orientation, April 28th) to learn more about this and other Financial Wellness Program services. Orientation is a required session for all members who plan to take the full workshop. Managing Cash Flow for Artists is offered three times a year. DO YOU USE CRYSTAL METH?
The Actors Fund is presenting a new confidential support group for gay men in the entertainment industry who want to change their relationship with crystal meth and other substances. This group addresses the emotional, sexual, social and medical issues that accompany crystal meth use and sobriety, while developing short and long term plans for staying sober. This confidential group will go beyond the definitions of disease, addiction and sexual orientation to engage the true “you” in the center of it all. RESUME Writing workshop
This two-part workshop takes place the 3rd and 4th Thursday of every month and attendance at both parts is required. This workshop assists participants in identifying their transferable skills in order to prepare a non-industry resume. CAREER EXPLORATION 101
This is a two-part workshop, held the 3rd & 4th Friday every month from noon to 2 pm, designed to help members identify future career options. In the first session, members participate in exercises and discussion to clarify their values, skills and interests. In part two, participants learn how to conduct and utilize labor market research to focus their career action plan. Participants must attend an AWP Orientation before attending this workshop. support group for injured dancers
An ongoing support group for professional dancers to confidentially and safely address the emotional issues and complexities specific to dancers facing physical problems. The group, led by The Dancers' Resource social worker, meets on Thursday evenings from 6:15 - 7:30 pm. A pre-attendance interview is required.
