Dear Brothers and Sisters,
The unity and solidarity displayed throughout the recent strike on Broadway was truly inspiring. We received numerous letters of support from IA Locals all over the United States and Canada and thank all the Brothers and Sisters for their words of support.
We also need to thank Local 52 for their sponsorship of the first day of the canteen truck, members of the IBEW Local 3 for joining us on the picket lines, President Michael Palladino and the Detectives Endowment Association for providing their canteen truck to the membership and Mr. John Ruben, Chief Officer of Operations at Local 6 UNITE HERE & The NY Hotel & Motel Trade Council, AFL-CIO for catering the picket line for the Brothers and Sisters at The Abe Hirschfeld Theatre.
Local One also wishes to send a deeply heartfelt thanks to all the community restaurants and businesses that supported Local One all through the strike. We cannot thank them enough for their understanding of our situation and their patience during the negotiations.
