Dear Friend –
As you surely know, Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS is critically important to The Actors Fund, providing significant support each year for our programs. We greatly appreciate your consideration for a new initiative attempting to replace funding lost due to the current strike –
Many thanks.
You are probably aware that due to the strike more than 20 Broadway shows were unable to continue fundraising during the six-week appeal period leading up to The 19th Annual Gypsy of the Year Competition. Last year's Gypsy Competition generated over $3 million for BC/EFA.
In response to the work stoppage currently effecting Broadway theatres and the many phone calls we've received from people asking what they can do to help, BC/EFA announces:

... an internet-based way to continue fundraising for BC/EFA
How Does It Work?
By clicking on the following link...
http://www.broadwaycares.org/events/GypsyOnlineFundraising2007.cfm
...you can make a donation to Broadway Cares for Gypsy of the Year or make a donation on behalf of your favorite show. All online donations are tax deductible.
Please take a few minutes to support BCEFA online, and share this request with those who love Broadway and BC/EFA.
Thank you for helping The Actors Fund by helping Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
Sincerely,
Joe Benincasa
