Recording-Corresponding Secretary Robert Score
Robert Score has been a member of Local One since 1989.
Previously serving as a Trustee, Robert, a first-generation stagehand,
has worked in the Local One jurisdiction since 1972. He was
a member of the Electric Department at the New York State
Theatre.
As a student at The Juilliard School (1970-1972) Robert
became interested in stagecraft and supported Local One during
a job action there. Attaining work by shaping up at the Union
Hall enabled Robert to return to school and graduate from
SUNY Purchase with a B.F.A. in Theatre Arts in 1978.
He graduated from the Labor Studies
Program at Cornell University and found the program to be extremely useful during
contract negotiations and in regards to health and safety
issues.
Robert is currently enrolled in the Advanced Certificate Program at the Cornell
University Labor Studies Program. He was recently honored with a seat on the
Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids Board
of Trustees and proudly serves on the National Advisory Board of The Actors' Fund.
During his term of office as a trustee, Robert was assigned to numerous
contract negotiations, revived the long-dormant safety committee
at the New York State Theatre and since launching the all-new
Local One web site was appointed its web master.
