Trustee Daniel Dashman

Dan Dashman began his apprenticeship at the Metropolitan Opera Electric Shop on October 20, 1975.  He has worked throughout Broadway, Television and on Corporate Presentations.  He graduated from Union College, Cardozo Law School and is currently pursuing a Master of Laws in Labor and Employment at NYU Law School. 

He has served as a Trustee on the Executive Board of Local One, Westchester/Putnam Representative and delegate to the Central Labor Body and on Local One committees including the 1982, 2004 and 2007 League contract negotiating committees. He has served as a delegate to the 2001 and 2005 I.A.T.S.E. conventions.  For the last 5 years he has been the Treasurer of the New York Chapter of the Labor and Employment Research Association which recently honored him for his work.  

He is currently working as a carpenter on “The Phantom of the Opera” at the Majestic Theatre, the longest running Broadway show ever.  Dan is married with three children.
